Her Journey to Face Painting

Celeste was born in San Francisco to an ex-bullfighter from Mexico and a wanna-be nun who are still married after 50+ years. No kidding. One of five very interesting kids, (see in links) Celeste was raised in San Jose and grew up drawing, painting, and sculpting. Tired of being a starving artist she earned her degree in Graphic Design then sat in front of a computer toiling away for other people for ten long years. Computer graphics did not satisfy her artistic needs and she longed to take up painting again. That's when she came across face-painting. Instead of boring computer screens, now she creates her master- pieces on happy people. Voilà! The perfect art form and medium for her creative personality.

Since 1994 she has face-painted professionally. Her first professional gig was painting the soccer fans of the San Jose Clash. In 1996, she appeared in a full leopard suit and matching face paint in the movie “Jack”, starring Robin Williams. She received top awards for her face-painting at the Face and Body Art International Convention in May 2007 and the Grand Prize in the Master's Division for Face-Painting in 2008. Celeste now face paints enthusiastically for every event you can imagine, from family parties to fashion shows, videos, tradeshows, celebrity events and more! She is in great demand for her speed and skills at face and body painting; as well as her fun personality. See how Celeste can make your next event a success!
